Transformative, Systemic, and Compassionate Solutions for Development and Peace
In a time of rising instability, climate disruption, inequality, and forced migration, many of today’s most pressing challenges defy sectoral or technocratic solutions. Common Ground Solutions Center (CGSC), LLC was founded on the belief that real progress arises not from external fixes, but from communities themselves—when supported with empathy, systems thinking, and transdisciplinary partnerships.
CGSC is a mission-driven consultancy and capacity-building platform. We support local, national, and global stakeholders in co-developing community development and peacebuilding solutions that are (i) technically sound, (ii) contextually wise, ethically grounded, and driven by the people they’re meant to serve, (iii) developed for the right reasons, and (iv) founded and operated with the right mindset.
As a partner with CGSC, Regena Systems Africa Ltd offers leading systems consultancy in Africa, specializing in community-driven engineering, circular–economy strategies, and climate-peace resilience integration. We transform parishes, districts, and organizations through system-based integrated solutions, regenerative agriculture proof-of-concept sites, and AI-enabled decision tools designed for local frameworks, SDG alignment, and future-proof development.
Mission
We partner with communities, governments, and allied organizations to co-create integrated, participatory, and systems-aware solutions to complex development and peacebuilding challenges. As strategic partners, thought collaborators, and technical advisors working at the intersection of resilience, peace, climate security, and inclusive development, we help communities define, own, and lead scalable solutions that strengthen resilience and build lasting peace.
Vision
We envision a world over the next 15 years where communities are resilient, resourceful, and just—capable of addressing internal and external challenges through collective intelligence, long-term vision, and regenerative systems. These are communities where development is not imposed from the outside but emerges from within, with the capacity to: (i) Solve their challenges; (ii) Sustain livelihoods for current and future generations; (iii) Adapt to ecological and political risks; (iv) Cultivate peace and shared purpose; and (v) Live in harmony with people and planet.
Our 4Rs Solutions
CGSC and Regina Systems Africa Ltd believe that the success of any development or peacebuilding effort hinges on four core principles:
- Solutions must be the right ones—designed with clarity of purpose and with minimum adverse impact on people and ecosystems.
- They must be rightly done—co-created with communities in ways that honor their knowledge, culture, and lived experience.
- They must be chosen for the right reasons—driven by ethical intent and grounded in long-term thinking, not short-term expediency.
- They must be based on the right mindset and respectful of context and scale.
More specifically, CGSC solutions:
- Integrate the 5Ps of sustainable development (people, planet, prosperity, partnership, and peace) in community development projects.
- Are practical, adaptive, inclusive, reflective, systemic, scalable, and context-specific.
- Recognize the importance of the community’s cultural and practical models of decision-making.
- Consider the benefits and tradeoffs of decision-making.
- Address the what, why, who, where, when, and how of community projects.
- Value empathy, compassion, and core human rights.
- Emphasize continuous engagement and collaboration among three groups of project stakeholders (community members, governments, and outsiders) to achieve tailored solutions, community ownership, commitment, and long-term benefits for communities.

How We Work: A Systems-Based Approach
CGSC and Regina Systems Africa Ltd’s methodology is rooted in systems thinking and nexus awareness, guided by the understanding that peace, sustainability, and climate security are inseparably linked:
- A sustainable community must be peaceful and climate-resilient.
- A peaceful community must promote environmental stewardship and social inclusion.
- A climate-secure community must be geopolitically stable and committed to sustainable development.
We use system dynamics tools, transdisciplinary collaboration, and adaptive management to help stakeholders model complex problems, explore feedback loops, and identify leverage points for long-term synergistic impact.
Our focus areas include:
- Human Development: Building conditions that allow all individuals to realize their full potential.
- Human Security: Identifying and addressing localized risks that threaten well-being and stability.
- Peacebuilding: Facilitating inclusive, systems-aware processes that address root causes, reconcile differences, and strengthen social cohesion.
We recognize that community development is both a technical and moral undertaking. That’s why we value empathy, compassion, and shared governance as much as infrastructure, data, or finance.
CGSC and Regina Systems Africa Ltd employ a systems-aware methodology to help decision-makers and practitioners develop scenarios for community development at the community scale. The methodology consists of ten stages as shown below.
